2020, it can be considered a memorable year, and this is also my first year-end summary since I started writing a blog. In this year, I celebrated my 26th birthday and my job transitioned from internet operations to product management... Whether it's work or life, there are many realizations different from my student days.
1. My 26th Birthday#
I still remember that evening, coming home from work as usual, and suddenly receiving WeChat birthday wishes from a friend I've known for over 9 years. I suddenly realized that it was my lunar birthday, feeling a bit sentimental. In my contemplation, I posted a WeChat moment, and not long after, I received a WeChat red envelope from a friend I've known for over 10 years. We had a brief chat and then I took a shower and rested.
In life, being able to have a few close friends, having someone to listen when you want to talk, and feeling comfortable being together, is truly a fortunate thing!
2. My 2+n Blind Dates#
It's hard to believe, but a few years ago I never thought that one day I would go down the path of arranged blind dates. In this year of 2020, the phone calls from my family have been quite frequent, and each time it's about three things: buy a house as soon as possible, fall in love and get married, and urge me to lose weight.
In fact, I didn't meet many opposite-sex friends this year. The results of the introductions from friends around me, relatives, or elders, all disappointed their good intentions.
Perhaps it has never changed, I am still waiting for the only one in the world who can match my soul, someone who can bring me happiness and redemption.
3. Changes in My Job#
In 2020, my job level only increased by one level, and my salary didn't increase much either. In comparison, the biggest change was transitioning from an operations role to a product management role, and also taking on the role of deputy manager in the project team. This is something worth celebrating. The biggest feeling from transitioning from operations to product management is that the work is much busier than before, there are many things that require careful thinking, and there is a noticeable sense of physical exhaustion. But the challenges brought by this new position are something that I really enjoy.
I hope that one day, I will also have the opportunity to personally participate in planning and creating a software product that is highly acclaimed in the market.
4. Some Expectations for the Coming Year#
2020 has already passed, and I hope that in the coming year 2021, I can accomplish the following planned things:

Buy a house in Xi'an, afford the cost of living and mortgage

Get promoted and receive a raise, achieve my three-year goal

Manage my figure and successfully lose weight

Prepare for marriage and be with the person I like
